New year, new pedantry

Early reminders for 2018:

• "Entitlement" means "fixed payment." It has nothing to do with whether you "earned" something.
• "Neoliberalism" is an economic philosophy of free trade and unregulated business. It has very little to do with what's called "liberalism" in a political context, and it is not a synonym for "trendy fake-progressive."
• Autism is diagnosed differently by sexist clinicians. It does not "present differently" by gender.
• The neurodiversity paradigm is incompatible with the pathology paradigm, so questions like "Does neurodiversity include mental illness?" are Not Even Wrong.
• Countries that won't let people leave are bad countries.

 I worry about people who can say things like "ready to compete in kindergarten" without the self-awareness to realize they sound like supervillains.
