Alignment of interests

 Sometimes, by coincidental alignment of interests, being anti-paternalism will mean being on the same side as businesses trying to sell their products in opposition to paternalistic regulation. Expect to be called a corporate shill or naively brainwashed by corporate propaganda. It's false. "Individuals should be free to do what they want with their own bodies and lives" is a distinct philosophical position from "Businesses should be free to do whatever they want without regulation," but both positions will align in opposition to "Governments should restrict businesses from selling 'unhealthy' products."
